The average price for a Pine Spring puppy is $2000 – 3000. We based our prices on the amount of time, effort, and money that has gone into training, showing, and testing our dogs prior to any breeding plans. Color or gender of the puppy is not a consideration in pricing.
We have a google form for any potential puppy owners interested in a Tornjak from Pine Spring Kennel. The goal of this form is to:
a.) let you know a little about what we expect of our dogs
b.) let us get to know what your home is like for a future Tornjak
c.) determine what puppies from our litter may be the best fit for your family
Puppies will be matched to what homes will best suit their growing personalities, and this form is essential to helping us figure that out!
All puppies will come with AKC registration and a puppy-packet. Most puppies will have limited registration, but feel free to reach out if you are interested in showing/becoming a co-owner to a Pine Spring Tornjak. While we are located on the East Coast, we are happy to personally transport Tornjaks throughout North America.
All Pine Spring puppies come with breeder support for the lifetime of the dog. Raising an opinionated XL puppy can be an adventure, and we are here to help!
Limited vs. full registration? What does it mean?
The AKC offers two types of registrations based solely on the allowance of the dog in question to breed and their offspring to also be recorded with the AKC.
Directly from their site, the AKC stipulates that “Limited Registration means that the dog is registered but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. A dog registered with an AKC Limited Registration shall be ineligible to be entered in a breed competition in a licensed or member dog show. It is eligible, however, to be entered in any other licensed or member event. These events include: Obedience, Rally, Agility, Tracking, Field Trials, Hunting Tests, Herding, Lure Coursing, Earthdog, Fast Cat, CAT, Scentwork, Junior Showmanship, Trick Dog and CGC.” (AKC Limited Registration)
Full registration allows dog to perform in conformation events, and for resulting litter to also be recorded with the AKC.
Limited registrations can be update to full down the line, so this is a valuable tool to help incentivise the responsible breeding of Tornjaks in North America.
